Thank you for choosing S Woodworks of Hatteras Island. Each piece is built by hand with care and craftsmanship. Please review the following shipping information before placing your order.
Order Processing Time
Most items are made to order. Processing times vary depending on the size and complexity of the piece.
- Custom furniture: Typically 4–8 weeks
- In-stock items: Usually ship within 3–7 business days
- You will be notified once your order is complete and ready to ship or deliver
Please note that processing time is separate from shipping time.
Shipping Methods
I ship using the most appropriate method based on the size and weight of your order.
Small Items
Shipped via standard carriers such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS.
Large Furniture & Oversized Items
Large items (such as dining tables, benches, and mantels) are typically shipped via freight carrier. Freight delivery usually includes curbside drop-off. Inside delivery or white-glove service may be available for an additional fee.
Shipping Rates
Shipping costs are calculated based on:
- Item size and weight
- Shipping distance
- Delivery method
For large or custom furniture, shipping costs may be quoted separately after purchase or included in a custom invoice.

Available by appointment in:

Local Delivery
Local delivery may be available within the surrounding area for an additional fee. Delivery pricing depends on distance and item size.
Shipping Timeframes
Estimated delivery times after shipment:
- Standard shipping: 3–7 business days
- Freight shipping: 1–3 weeks depending on location
- Remote or rural areas may require additional time
Delays caused by weather, carrier issues, or high order volume are outside our control.
Order Tracking
You will receive a tracking number once your order has shipped. Freight shipments may include delivery scheduling directly with the carrier.
Damaged or Lost Shipments
I carefully package all items to ensure safe delivery. If your order arrives damaged:
- Inspect the item immediately upon delivery
- Note any damage on the delivery receipt
- Take photos of the packaging and item
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
I will work quickly to resolve the issue.
Incorrect Address
Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout. I am not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by incorrect or incomplete addresses.
